Brian Keenan is a seasoned professional in higher education, currently serving as the Director of Strategic Initiatives (Higher Education) at the Knowledge & Human Development Authority since August 2015, where responsibilities include conducting research on higher education access and quality in Dubai and providing strategic direction for key projects. Their prior experience includes serving as CEO for HERTVEC LLC in Saudi Arabia, where Brian established adult vocational colleges, and as Associate Director at HCT in Fujairah, overseeing academic programs for nearly 2,000 students. Earlier roles also featured a focus on curriculum development and teaching innovation at institutions including Dubai Women's College and King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. Brian Keenan holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Science in Gerontology from the University of Southampton and an MBA in Educational Management and Leadership from the University of Leicester.
