Rebecca Joy Norlander is a researcher at Knology, a think tank based in New York City that addresses significant social issues. In this role, they lead the Culture Pillar, integrating theory and practice to enhance cultural institutions and advance rights-based systems. Prior to their current position, Rebecca served as the Regional Representative of Human Rights Educators USA and was involved in teaching across several countries, including Japan and France. They earned a PhD in Human Science from Saybrook University in 2014, focusing on transformative social change and digital communication for human rights education. Throughout their career, Rebecca has contributed to various research initiatives and presented at numerous conferences related to social impact and human rights.
