Richard Elmer is a seasoned professional in geotechnical and mining engineering with over 35 years of experience. Currently serving as Director and Regional Manager at Knight Piésold Limited, Richard focuses on delivering ground engineering solutions across Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, and East/Central Asia. Previously, Richard was the Head of Mining at Knight Piésold's London office, overseeing niche mining services. Prior to this, Richard held positions at Golder Associates, where responsibilities included project direction and management of feasibility studies in mining, and at Mott MacDonald as Principal Engineering Geologist managing a variety of projects. Richard's early career included research on uranium prospects at the British Civil Uranium Procurement Organisation. Richard holds an MSc in Mining Geology from Camborne School of Mines and a BSc in Geology from the University of Southampton.
