Esther Ladiges is a seasoned communication advisor with extensive experience in academia and historical projects. Presently serving as a communication advisor at both KNAW - Koninklijke Nederlandse Akademie van Wetenschappen and De Jonge Akademie since May 2020, Esther plays a vital role in disseminating knowledge and supporting young scientists. Formerly, Esther worked at NIOD Institute for War, Holocaust and Genocide Studies as a communication advisor and event manager, focusing on European Holocaust Research Infrastructure projects. Esther is also the founder and editor of "Toen ik 21 was," an interview project dedicated to preserving the memories of individuals born between 1910 and 1940. Previous editorial roles include tenures at Historisch Nieuwsblad and Maarten!, along with contributions to the book "1001 vrouwen in de twintigste eeuw." Esther's academic background includes a Master's degree in Modern German History and a Bachelor's degree in Contemporary History from the University of Amsterdam.
