Alex specializes in structural design for fish passage facilities and hydropower facility components including fish passage facilities, intakes, penstocks, rubber dams, and ancillary equipment. He has experience in offshore engineering related to offshore wind turbines. Alex performs 3-D structural modeling, and structural design calculations, and fish passage design calculations. He also develops opinions of cost, inspects Tainter gates, and develops Tainter gate repairs.
Alex has a M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Maine and is a Licensed Professional Engineer in Maine. He is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
