Jeff Ickes currently serves as the acting Head of Group Financial Risk at Klarna, overseeing group credit risk, market risk, and liquidity risk exposures since March 2021. Previously, Ickes was a Senior Risk Manager, where Ickes played a pivotal role as a founding member of a global credit risk oversight team and developed processes for managing credit risk during a period focused on reducing credit losses. In an earlier position as a Risk Manager in Risk Assurance, Ickes led risk management projects to support Klarna's expansion into the U.S. market. Prior to joining Klarna, Ickes worked at Plante Moran as an Assurance Manager focused on financial services, managing audit and risk management services for financial institutions and coordinating with client management. Ickes holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business.
