Benard Maake, Ph.D., currently serves as the Director of E-Learning at Kisii University since September 2012, where responsibilities include overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of e-Learning programs, collaborating with various experts to create effective content. Additionally, Benard lectures in the computer science department at Kisii University. Previously, Benard worked as a Research Scholar at Tshwane University of Technology, focusing on Machine Learning, Information Search and Retrieval, Big Data, and Recommendation Systems from March 2015 to June 2021. Earlier roles include Head of Department at Mount Kenya University, Adjunct Instructor at Kabarak University, and Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Eastern Africa Baraton. Benard holds a Doctor of Computing in Computer Systems Engineering with a focus on Recommender Systems and Artificial Intelligence from Tshwane University of Technology and a Master of Science in Computer Science, specializing in Mobile Cryptography and Computer Security from Periyar University.
