Sarah Wartman

8th Grade Science Teacher at KIPP Northern California

Sarah Wartman has a diverse range of work experience. Sarah started their career as a Biological Science Technician at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in 2014, where they worked for six months. In 2015, they became a Biological Science Technician at Humboldt State University for four months before transitioning to the role of Technology Coordinator at the Bay Area Women's and Children's Center. Sarah held this position for nine months and then became a Crew Lead at the Student Conservation Association in 2016, where they managed a crew of seven high school student employees and completed conservation and restoration work.

In the same year, Sarah also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Stony Brook University for six months. From 2017 to 2019, they served as a Middle School Science Teacher at The Mission Preparatory School before transitioning to their most recent role as an 8th Grade Science Teacher at KIPP Public Schools Northern California in 2019.

Sarah Wartman attended the University of Minnesota from 2010 to 2012 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology, General.
