Devonique Small, Ed.S, currently serves as the Dean of Students and 5th Grade Lead Writing Teacher at KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools since July 2019, and as an Elementary Math Content Facilitator with Teach For America since May 2021. Previous experience includes positions as an Elementary Inclusion Teacher at Atlanta Public Schools, a Founding Elementary School Teacher at Latin Grammar Charter School, and a Grade Level Chair and Founding Middle School Social Studies Teacher at Latin Academy Charter School. Devonique Small also held roles as a TFA Intern at KIPP Metro Atlanta and a 6th Grade ELA/SS Teacher at Atlanta Preparatory Academy. Earlier professional responsibilities encompassed serving as Praise and Worship Coordinator at Marquette University and Christian Fellowship of Marquette, as well as Assistant Tutorial Coordinator for the Marquette University Educational Opportunity Program. Educational qualifications include an Ed.S in Teacher Leadership from Valdosta State University, an MEd in Curriculum and Instruction from Georgia College & State University, and dual bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Elementary Education from Marquette University.
