Leah Peters has a strong background in education leadership. Leah currently holds the position of Chief Academic Officer at KIPP Colorado Schools since May 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President of Academics at DSST Public Schools from June 2019 to May 2021. Leah also held the role of Head of Schools at YES Prep Public Schools from June 2017 to June 2019, where they oversaw the vision, strategy, and execution of the East End campus. During their time at YES Prep, they successfully implemented innovative program improvements, developed strong leadership teams, and achieved remarkable results in student achievement and school culture. Leah also has experience as a Teacher and High School Principal. Leah briefly worked as an Advisor for NPAF/NPSA at Relay Graduate School of Education from August 2018 to May 2019.

Leah Peters obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Policy Analysis and Management with a concentration in Inequality and a minor in Education from Cornell University. Leah then went on to earn a Master of Public Administration degree in Policy Analysis from the University of Houston. In addition, they have obtained multiple certifications, including being a Positive Intelligence Coach and a Certified Dare to Leadâ„¢ Facilitator. Leah also completed the Leverage Leadership Institute program.
