Mary Griffin is an experienced educator and leader in the field of education, currently serving as a 5th Grade ELA Teacher at KIPP Chicago and a Coach at Orangetheory Fitness. Previously, Mary held multiple leadership roles at Great Lakes Academy Charter School, including Director of Talent and Director of Academic Intervention, where strategic initiatives led to significant improvements in staff diversity and student proficiency. Mary’s career includes tenures as Principal at CICS-Avalon, where notable student achievement was demonstrated, and as a Fellow and Lead Founder at Building Excellent Schools. Mary possesses a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Tufts University.
