Edwin van Asselt I

Director Refurbishment Operations Kion-its at KION Group

Edwin van Asselt I MBA has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Edwin started their career as a Service Technician at Greve Agrotechniek in 1989 and later joined Tomra Systems BV as a Service Support Technician. Edwin then moved on to Hakvoort Horeca Emmeloord, where they served as the Head of the Service Department. After that, they joined Honor Rescue as the Head of Sales Backoffice, Workshop, and Field Service.

In 2007, Edwin started working for MotracLinde, first as the Manager of Used Trucks, then as the Manager of Used Trucks & Short Term Rental. Edwin was responsible for budgeting and operations, as well as buying, selling, and renting internal transport equipment. Edwin also participated in various international Linde projects.

In 2019, Edwin joined Linde Material Handling as the Remanufacturing Manager for EMEA. Edwin focused on implementing quality standards for remanufacturing and leading the Remanufacturing Industrialization project. Currently, Edwin is working at KION Group as the Director of Refurbishment Operations, where they are responsible for developing and implementing the refurbishment strategy in coordination with various functions and centers.

Throughout their career, Edwin has demonstrated strong management and leadership skills, along with a commitment to quality and sustainability. Edwin'sexperience in operations, sales, and service has allowed him to develop a well-rounded perspective in the industrial equipment industry.

Edwin van Asselt completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the University of Groningen in 2017. Edwin also pursued Pon Advanced Management from 2009 to 2010. Prior to this, they obtained a Post HBO General Management qualification from ISBW in 2007 and an HBO degree in Bedrijfskunde from ISBW in 2005. Edwin also holds a Bedrijfsvoering en Beheer Stichting Opleiding Metaal certificate from SOM, completed in 1996. In addition, they studied Agricultural Engineering at Zuiderzee College from 1991 to 1993.
