Ben Thomson

Ben Thomson, MD/MSc/MPH(c)/FRCPC, is a prominent nephrologist and educator with extensive experience in healthcare leadership and humanitarian efforts. As the Creator and President of the Keys of Health Fellowship since January 2016, Ben Thomson focuses on addressing the shortage of subspecialist physicians in developing countries. In the role of Creator and Coordinator of the Indigenous Services Canada-MSERS education series since December 2020, Ben Thomson has facilitated health education for 133 Indigenous communities across Ontario. Additionally, Ben Thomson serves as a Nephrologist at Mackenzie Health and holds an Associate Professorship in the Division of Nephrology at Kingston Health Sciences Centre, where program growth in home dialysis has been notably impactful. Ben Thomson’s educational journey includes a Doctor of Medicine from University College Cork and a Masters of Science from McGill University, among other qualifications.
