Susan McLain is an experienced professional in strategic planning and community development. Currently serving as the Strategic Planning Manager for King County, WA since November 2023, previous roles include Director of Community Development at the City of Burien and various positions at the City of Seattle, including Chief of Staff for the Office of Planning and Development. McLain's extensive background also includes leadership roles at Washington Citizens for Recycling and work as a community affairs consultant. Educational credentials include an MPA in Public Policy from the University of Washington and a BS in History/International Studies from Whitworth University.
