Shayista Syed is a seasoned accounting professional currently serving as a Staff Accountant at Kinetics since September 2021. Prior experience includes a role as Lead Tax Associate at RSM US LLP, where skills in tax analysis were honed, and a Graduate Teaching Assistant position at NC State Poole College of Management. Shayista also contributed to NC State Student Government as an Elections Assistant, managing budgets and reporting for election candidates, and served as Vice President of Global Pack at NC State, facilitating activities for international students while overseeing budget development. Additional roles include Cultural Ambassador at North Carolina State University, where support was provided to new international students, and participation in various competitions, showcasing strong analytical and financial presentation skills. Educationally, Shayista holds a Master’s in Accounting - Information Technology and a Bachelor’s in Accounting from North Carolina State University, along with an Associate of Arts from Wake Technical Community College.
