Rehan Hameed is a distinguished technology leader with extensive experience in embedded systems, image processing, and high-performance computing. As CTO and Co-Founder of Kinara, Inc. since March 2014, Rehan has been at the forefront of developing innovative processor chips and deep learning algorithms for applications in security, automotive, and retail sectors. Prior roles include consultancy for a stealth-mode startup, contributing to transitioning image enhancement algorithms to optimized GPU implementations. During academic tenure at Stanford University, Rehan conducted influential research in energy-efficient computing and contributed to pioneering projects in polymorphic chip multiprocessors and supercomputing architectures. Previous experience also includes significant contributions to Avaz Networks as a Senior Hardware Design Engineer, where Rehan worked on advanced ASIC design for the VoIP market and led several DSP projects. Rehan holds a PhD and a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST).
