Michael Lambert

Michael Lambert is President of Lambert Media Group, an investment, holding, and management company with concentrations in broadcasting, cinemas, technology, film and television production and distribution. He is a founding partner of Kilburn Media. Lambert is an owner and Board Member of Village Roadshow Entertainment Group, a leading co-producer and co-financier of major motion pictures, having produced more than 80 films since its establishment in 1997, including, as co-productions with Warner Bros, The Matrix Trilogy, Oceans 11, 12, and 13, Sherlock Holmes, Happy Feed, Dark Shadows, The Great Gatsby, The Equalizer, The Lego Movie, and American Sniper.

He is also a Founding Partner of Demerest Films, an independent film and television production and financing company formed in 2011, which has produced 20 films to date, many in partnership with Kilburn.

In 2009, Lambert and TowerBrook Capital, acquired Rave Cinemas and additional theaters from National Amusements, forming the fifth-largest United States circuit with 1,000 screens in 61 theaters across 20 states. The company was sold to Cinemark. Lambert continues to serve on the Management Advisory Board of TowerBrook and is active in pursuing new investment opportunities.

Lambert has been an owner/operator of television stations in the United States and Russia, and was the founder of iBlast, a wireless digital network formed in partnership with Tribune, Gannett, Cox, Washington Post, New York Times, and 20 of the nation’s other largest TV broadcasters in 1998. Lambert continues to be an active investor in several early stage media and technology companies.

Previously, Lambert was President, Domestic Television, at 20th Century Fox, responsible for TV production and distribution in the United States. and Executive Vice President at HBO, responsible for worldwide distribution of HBO film and TV, the formation of HBO video and arranging of HBO co-productions. Earlier, was President, Domestic Television, at Viacom, where he was responsible for Unted States television distribution and new media, including the company’s early activations in cable television.
