Bill Porter has over two decades of experience in structural design and project management, with a current role as Lead Structural Designer and Project Controls Lead at Kiewit since February 2014. Prior to Kiewit, Bill worked as a Structural Designer at HNTB, focusing on bridge projects, and served as Project Manager/Steel Detailer at Riddle, where steel erection deliverables were created for metal buildings. Bill's early career included positions as a Structural Designer utilizing Revit and as a Principal at Norton & Schmidt Consulting Engineers, where Bill was the only non-engineer owner of an engineering firm in the Kansas City area. Additional experience includes managing CAD standards at Johnston Burkholder Associates and serving as an Engineering Technician, drafting structural elements for various building types.
