Bob Martin has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Bob began as a News Director at WWKI-FM before moving on to work as an Editor, Writer, and Announcer for DowPhone, a national business news outlet. After that, they worked as a Staff Assistant for the Office of US Rep. Don Ritter.
In 1992, Bob became the Director of Corporate & Community Relations at Rodale, where they were responsible for various aspects of the company's interaction with the local community and non-profit groups. Bob also directed advocacy efforts such as promoting walkable and bike-friendly community development and incorporated composting into the nation's solid waste strategy.
Bob then worked as a Public Relations Manager at Lehigh Valley Hospital and as a Community Co-host for Lehigh Valley Tempo! at WLVT - PBS 39. Bob later became the Senior Manager of Corporate Affairs at Mack Trucks, Inc., overseeing internal communications, community relations, and event management.
In 2010, Bob joined Avantor Performance Materials, Inc. as the Marketing Communication Manager, where they directed all aspects of marketing communications for a global specialty chemicals manufacturer and provided communications counsel to senior corporate leadership.
Upon leaving Avantor, Bob worked as a Communications Consultant on corporate communications strategies before joining KidsPeace in 2015 as the Director of Communications. In this role, they manage the organization's public relations, social media, and creative services operations as well as oversees KidsPeace's TeenCentral.Net and ParentCentral.
Bob Martin attended Purdue University from 1979 to 1983, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications, with a focus on Radio-TV/Journalism.
