Mike Maté serves as the VP of Investments at Kickstart Ventures, Inc. since June 2022 and holds multiple board positions, including with Lydia.ai, SariSuki, and Roslin Technologies. Previously, Mike worked as a Director at Seawood Resources, Inc. and held notable roles at Akaroa Salmon New Zealand and BPI Capital Corporation, where duties focused on structured finance. Throughout a successful legal career, Mike practiced M&A and corporate law as a Senior Associate at Romulo Mabanta Buenaventura Sayoc & De Los Angeles and gained additional experience at Morrison & Foerster LLP. Mike earned a Master of Laws from Harvard Law School, a Doctor of Law from Ateneo de Manila University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Duke University.
