Emily Stearns is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the technical standards and association management sectors. Currently serving as the Executive Director of the Metaverse Standards Forum since March 2023, Emily leads initiatives focused on interoperability standards for the open metaverse. As Managing Director at The Khronos Group since December 2016, Emily contributes to the development of royalty-free open standards for advanced graphics rendering and computing applications. Additionally, as President of Clearspan Consulting, Inc. since August 2014, Emily provides strategic consulting for trade associations. Emily's prior experience includes roles at VTM Group, where significant contributions were made in managing standard-setting organizations, and at Continua Health Alliance as Director of Business Relations. Emily holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Oregon.
