Brian Byun is a seasoned venture partner at Khosla Ventures, where responsibilities include investing and board operations since June 2014. Prior to this role, Brian served as an Executive In Residence, advising select portfolio companies on sourcing and diligence. A sabbatical period from August 2013 to June 2014 involved advising private companies aligned with personal expertise and interests. From September 2003 to May 2013, Brian worked at VMware, holding multiple vice president roles, including leading end-user computing mobility products and launching cloud services. Earlier career experiences include product management leadership at Brocade, Rhapsody Networks, Netscape/AOL, and Hewlett-Packard, where Brian contributed to product development, marketing, and ecosystem strategies. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
