Jan Glaser

Vice President - Energy (hydrogen, Wte, Renewables & Water) at KfW IPEX-Bank

Jan Glaser has a diverse and extensive work experience in the finance industry. Jan started their career as a student intern at DekaBank Deutsche Girozentrale in 2005. Jan then joined KfW in 2007 as part of the Graduate Traineeship Program in Project & Export Finance. In 2008, they moved to KfW IPEX-Bank and worked as a Project Manager in Syndications, focusing on underwriting and loan market placement of project finance transactions in the Transport Infrastructure and Aviation sectors.

In 2009, Jan Glaser became a Senior Project Manager in Corporate Finance (Large Corporates) at KfW, where they held a role responsible for managing projects and providing financial solutions to large corporate clients. Jan then returned to KfW IPEX-Bank in 2010 as an Assistant Vice President in Infrastructure, where they focused on originating and structuring international project finance deals in the Transport & Social Infrastructure sector, with a particular emphasis on Public-Private Partnerships (PPP).

Later on, they held the role of Vice President - Power, Renewables & Water (Frankfurt Office) at KfW IPEX-Bank, starting in 2020. In this role, they were responsible for originating and executing project finance deals in the power, renewables, and water sectors. Their expertise and experience in the field of export and project finance contributed to providing tailored financing solutions for clients.

Jan Glaser also gained experience in the Asia-Pacific region, as they worked in the KfW IPEX-Bank Singapore Office as part of the Infrastructure team from 2014 to 2020. Throughout their career, they have covered various regions, including Canada, USA, UK, France, Germany, and Australia, demonstrating their ability to work internationally and adapt to different markets and environments.

Jan Glaser attended Universität Trier from 2001 to 2006, where they obtained a Diplom Kaufmann (Master's Degree in Business Economics) with a focus on Finance, International Relations, and Developing Countries. In October 2017, they also received a certification in Best Practice Project Finance Modelling from Corality Financial Modelling.
