Ymir Vigfusson is a highly experienced computer scientist who has held a variety of roles in a number of different companies. Ymir co-founded and previously served as Chief Science Officer of Syndis, a company that specializes in penetration testing and cybersecurity. Ymir also co-founded Adversary, an online training platform designed to help individuals and companies improve their security posture. Ymir is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Emory University where they lead the SimBioSys Lab and has secured over $2 million in funding. Ymir has published over 65 peer-reviewed articles in leading scientific venues and has won numerous awards. Prior to their current role, they worked at IBM and Yahoo!, where they researched distributed systems and developed large-scale distributed database infrastructure respectively. Before that, they worked as a Security Expert at Qualys, where they identified vulnerabilities in commonly used software. Ymir's wealth of experience makes him a highly qualified Chief Technology Officer and VP of Engineering at their next position at Keystrike.

Ymir Vigfusson received their Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Háskóli Íslands in 2005. Ymir then pursued their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Computer Science at Cornell University, completing their studies in 2009.
