Susmitha Avula has over 6 years of work experience in software engineering and development. In 2021, they began working as a Technical Support Engineer at KeyMe Locksmiths. Prior to this, they served as a Software Engineer at K Virgo Inc. from 2020. In 2020, they also worked as a Member of Technical Staff at AT&T, where they collaborated with Orange Telecom to develop and improve TransportPCE, an open source Java based model-driven application with REST APIs. Susmitha also customized the application to validate the compliance of vendor implementation with OpenROADM MSA specifications and integrated it as a microservice with ONAP SDNC using docker containerization. From 2017 to 2020, Susmitha worked as a Full Stack Software Developer at Ford Motor Company, where they collaborated with marketing and sales department to develop an application for order generation and material forecasting on Java platform. From 2015 to 2017, Susmitha worked as a Researcher at Advanced Systems Laboratory, where they characterized a given linear two-port RF device by determining its dielectric properties using Vector Network Analyzer and measured S-parameters of antennas used in missiles and compared with other composite materials.
Susmitha Avula holds a Master of Science in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Warangal. Susmitha also has two certifications: Advanced Telecom from BSNL Telecom Factory obtained in June 2015 and Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA Routing and Switching) from Cisco obtained in January 2019.
