Darrell K. Cotterill is an experienced geologist with a robust background in stratigraphic evaluation and geological consulting. Currently serving as a Consultant Geologist at Keyera since December 2020, Cotterill specializes in subsurface water disposal and salt storage cavern assessments. With prior roles at Terrapin Geothermics and Pure Environmental Waste Management Ltd., Cotterill conducts stratigraphic studies for geothermal technology and oversees water disposal well site selection and monitoring. Extensive experience includes evaluating waste disposal targets and mapping geological formations at White Swan Environmental Ltd. and Harvest Energy, along with contributions to significant oil sands development projects. Cotterill also has a foundational education in geology from the University of Alberta and petroleum technology from NAIT.
