Jan Hansen started their career in 1995 as a Service Engineer and Service Manager at Zenon B.V., where they focused on start-up, commissioning, and optimization of sludge dewatering and membrane bioreactor filtration systems until 2003. Jan then moved on to Tebulo Control Systems as a Constructeur Groepsleider from 2004 to 2006. After that, they joined Albemarle Catalysts Company B.V. and held various roles such as Technisch Specialist E&I, Planner-Supervisor, Design Engineer, and Lead Engineer in the Engineering Technical Development and R&D Maintenance Groups until 2023. Currently, Jan is working as a Lead Engineer in the Engineering Technical Development Group at Ketjen Corporation.

Jan Hansen received their Bachelor's degree in Elektrotechniek, with a specialization in electronics, measurement, and control technology, from Algemene Hogeschool Amsterdam. Jan completed their studies from 1988 to 1992.
