Dena Grayson, MD, PhD has a diverse work experience in the field of clinical development and medical affairs. Dena currently holds the position of Senior Vice President at Keros Therapeutics. Previously, they worked at BioCryst Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as a Clinical Development and Medical Affairs Physician-Scientist from 2020 to 2023. Prior to that, they were a Clinical Development and Medical Affairs Leader at Curis from 2018 to 2020, and at Verastem Oncology as a Medical Affairs Leader from 2017 to 2018. Dena also served as the Chief Medical Officer at Valor Biotherapeutics from 2014 to 2017. Before that, they worked at AlloCure as the Vice President of Translational Medicine from 2011 to 2014 and at 3-V Biosciences in the same role from 2008 to 2010. Dr. Grayson also has experience at Amgen, where they served as the Director of Medical Sciences and Associate Director of Licensing from 2003 to 2008, and at MEDACorp as an Engagement Manager from 2002 to 2003. Dena is a Fellow in the Henry Crown Fellowship Program at The Aspen Institute, which aims to develop the next generation of community-spirited leaders.
Dena Grayson, MD, PhD, began their education at the University of Florida, where they received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from 1988 to 1992. Dena then continued their academic journey at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, earning both an M.D. and Ph.D. in Medicine and Biochemistry from 1992 to 2000. Following their time at Washington University, Grayson completed their residency at the University of California, San Francisco - School of Medicine from 2000 to 2001, specializing in the Internal Medicine Residency Program.
