Mark Lai began their work experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at MiNT Lab, University of Calgary in 2016. In 2017, they joined NovAtel Inc. as an Electrical/Geomatics Intern. In 2019, Mark worked as a Hardware Intern at Aurora Wireless Networks. Currently, they are employed at Kepler Communications Inc. In their tenure at Kepler Communications, Mark has held the positions of RF/Antenna Engineer and RF Designer.

Mark Lai obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science from the University of Calgary. Mark completed this program between 2014 and 2019. Following this, Mark pursued a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at the same university between 2019 and 2022. Unfortunately, no information is available regarding Mark's education prior to their Bachelor's degree.
