Clayton B. Crail has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Clayton B. started their career as a Sr. Student Associate at The University of Texas at Austin, where they gained research experience in material sample preparation and optical interferometry. Clayton B. then had multiple summer internships at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, where they worked on various projects related to space payload design, integration, and operation.
In 2014, Clayton joined Raytheon as an Operations/Integrated Planning Manager, where they were responsible for managing sales and operations planning at the McKinney Consolidated Manufacturing Center. Clayton B. also provided training and mentorship to master schedulers in the use of advanced analytics to enhance their ability to manage the demand profile.
In 2017, Clayton moved to L3Harris Technologies as a Senior Manager Program Management. In this role, they were responsible for the financial, schedule, and technical performance of a strategically important and complex contract. Clayton B. successfully grew the base contract by 24% through strategic alignment, strong performance, and building strong customer relationships. Clayton B. managed a team of 50 professionals and multiple major subcontracts during a time of significant divisional growth.
In 2021, Clayton joined Raytheon Technologies as an Associate Director, a role they held until 2022. This position allowed him to further develop their leadership skills and contribute to the company's success.
Currently, Clayton serves as the Chief of Staff at Kepler Communications Inc., a position they started in 2022.
Clayton B. Crail completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Aerospace Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin from 2003 to 2007. Later on, from 2011 to 2013, they pursued a Master of Science (SM) in Aeronautics and Astronautics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) School of Engineering. During the same period, they also obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
