Mugun Japhet is an accomplished Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in the electrical power sector. Currently employed at Kenya Electricity Transmission Company Limited (KETRACO) since April 2019, Mugun Japhet specializes in the predictive and corrective maintenance of 400kV, 220kV, and 132kV AC and HVDC substations, as well as the installation and commissioning of new substations. Prior experience includes serving as a Design Engineer at Legemet Co Ltd from January 2014 to April 2016, where Mugun Japhet designed various electrical installation works, including substations and fire detection systems. Mugun Japhet also worked as a Maintenance Engineer at KenGen Kenya for a brief period in 2012, focusing on the maintenance and calibration of electrical equipment in power plants. Mugun Japhet holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Nairobi University and a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Technical University of Kenya.
