Tanelle Sawyer is currently serving as the Associate Vice President of Workforce and Economic Development and the Executive Director of Workforce Talent Development at KCTCS since August 2022. Previously, Tanelle held leadership positions at the Young Professionals Association of Louisville (YPAL), including President and Director of Professional Development. Tanelle's experience also includes roles as Director of School Leadership at 3DE Schools, Manager of Workforce and Industry Programs at Greater Louisville Inc., and Graduate Assistant in the Office of Admissions at the University of Louisville, where responsibilities included developing student leaders and enhancing recruitment strategies. Tanelle holds a Master’s degree in College Student Counseling and Personnel Services from the University of Louisville and a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary English Education from Murray State University. Additionally, Tanelle has international experience, having studied at Korea University and contributed as a Student Teacher at Corozol Community College.
