Aaron Traphagen is a seasoned professional in the field of online learning and education, currently serving as Co-Founder and Chief Operations Officer at Magellan Learning Solutions since May 2017. In addition to this role, Aaron has contributed as a Co-Author for "Breaking Ground: Keys for Successful Online Learning" alongside Amy Scott Hassenpflug and H. Jamaica Conner since January 2014. Aaron held progressive leadership positions in online education, including Associate Vice President for Online Learning and Director of Curriculum Development & Innovation from March 2017 to June 2020. Prior experience at Liberty University includes roles such as Assistant Professor and various academic support positions from April 2008 to March 2017, where responsibilities included ensuring comparability of learning outcomes and investigating best practices in technology-based learning. Aaron's background also includes service as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, where responsibilities encompassed quality control and tactical communications. Aaron holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree.
