Stefan Schmidinger has a diverse work experience, with their most recent role being Chief Economist, Markets & Strategy at Kemiex AG since June 2017. At Kemiex, they are responsible for providing market intelligence and procurement software-as-a-service in the sectors of pharmaceuticals, feed and food additives, fertilizer, and (agro)chemicals. Prior to that, Stefan worked at UBS from August 2011 to May 2017 as Director, Strategy & Business Development. In this role, they handled global strategy and business development, regional M&A for emerging markets, market sizing, competitor benchmarking, asset management products strategy, pricing, and innovation. Before UBS, Stefan worked at Credit Suisse from March 2008 to July 2011, serving as Solution Partners and External Asset Managers for EMEA and Asia.

Stefan Schmidinger received a Master's degree in Business Process and Project Management, Supply Chain Management from Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences (FH Vorarlberg) from 2003 to 2007. In 2014 to 2017, they pursued a three-year basic education in Transactional Analysis (TA) at the Eric Berne Institute, Zurich. In 2018, they completed an Advanced Trade Credit Insurance Course at the STECIS Credit Insurance Academy.
