Marco Piccini began their career in 2016 as an Internship at Politecnico di Milano. Marco then worked as Conference Staff at the 6th International IUPAC Conference on Green Chemistry. In 2017, they became a PhD Student at the Centre for Sustainable and Circular Technologies, researching Xylose as a functional platform chemical for sustainable polymers. In 2022, they joined Kelpi as a Senior Polymer Scientist and Polymer Chemist, working to create compostable, marine-safe, low-carbon bioplastic packaging.
Marco Piccini has been pursuing higher education since 2011. Marco completed their Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Chemistry and Technologies from Università Ca' Foscari Venezia in 2014. Marco then pursued a Master of Science in the same field from the same university, which they completed in 2016. In 2015, they participated in the Erasmus Programme at Queen's University Belfast, studying Chemistry. In 2017, they achieved a Master of Research in Sustainable Chemical Technologies from the University of Bath. Marco is currently enrolled in an Integrated PhD in Sustainable Chemical Technologies at the University of Bath, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
