Saana Siekkinen currently serves as the Director at SAK, responsible for matters related to social security, education, labor policy, immigration policy, workplace development, and employee well-being. Since joining SAK in 2001, Saana has held various roles and has been a member of the leadership team since 2011. In 2018, Saana acted as the Project Manager for SAK's unemployment security development project, focusing on improving the operations of unemployment funds and related services. Additionally, Saana has served on the boards of Varma and Kela since 2020 and 2016, respectively. Previously, Saana held the position of Director at the Service Sector Professionals Union PAM, overseeing strategic planning and development initiatives. Saana holds a Master's degree in Social Sciences from the University of Tampere and a specialized management degree from the Management Institute of Finland.
