Kearney Public Schools is located in central Nebraska serving a population of approximately 5,500 students, birth to age 21.  KPS has one high school, two middle schools, ten elementary schools and one preschool building. KPS has a Kearney Community Learning Center (an afterschool program), which is available at most elementary schools and Sunrise middle school sites.

The Speech and Language Team at Kearney Public Schools is dedicated to assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders in students from birth to age 21. The team, consisting of skilled Speech Language Pathologists, School Psychologists, Special Education Coordinators, and a Behavioral Interventionist, collaborates to provide individualized support and interventions. Their goal is to enhance students' communication, social skills, and overall academic performance, thereby contributing to a safe and supportive learning environment that aligns with KPS's mission and vision.
