John Merrells is an experienced technology leader with a focus on product development and AI-driven solutions. Currently serving as CPO/CTO at kea since January 2018, John specializes in AI Voice Agents for Quick Service Restaurants. John also contributes as an advisor and mentor for various organizations, including StartX, Andela, and Streetbeat, guiding innovation in investment strategies and software engineering marketplaces. As a co-founder and board member of Holonic, John addresses the resourcing and product development needs of startups. Previously, John held roles such as CPO at Sight Machine and advisor at ALICE Technologies, Yotascale, Synack, and Shape Security, emphasizing advancements in manufacturing, construction, cloud operations, and security. John holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Hertfordshire and has completed leadership development programs through Pathwise and the Hoffman Institute.
