Joyce Chi serves as the Internal News Director at KCSB-FM in Santa Barbara, overseeing the training of reporters in audio story production, collaborating on story pitches, and managing newscasts. Additional roles at KCSB-FM include Newsbrief Correspondent and Programmer, focusing on public health updates and hosting a program about early 20th-century American jazz. Joyce also works as a Research Assistant at Szumlinski Lab, conducting experiments related to methamphetamine self-administration and chronic stress effects on alcohol response. Volunteering with Doctors Without Walls, Joyce maintains a supportive environment for homeless women seeking medical care and holds a position as a Student Writing Assistant at the Gevirtz Graduate School of Education. Joyce previously participated as a Youth Advisory Board Member and Senior Facilitator for Give Us The Floor and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology at UC Santa Barbara.
