Dan Whorton is an experienced engineering professional specializing in simulation systems and IT security within the aerospace sector. Currently serving as the NASA JPSS FVTS Engineering Lead at KBR, Inc. since October 2019, Whorton focuses on the NASA OMES II contract. Prior to this, Whorton held the same title at Stinger Ghaffarian Technologies (SGT) from February 2007, where the role involved supporting NASA in the development of simulation systems for the J1 Mission. Whorton also served as Chief Technology Officer at SGT and held significant positions at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center as a Directorate Computer Security Engineer, as well as President of Performance Network Engineering, a consulting firm. Earlier career experiences include roles as a Network Architect and Network Engineer at Lockheed Martin. Educational background includes studies at the University of Alaska Anchorage from 1985 to 1988.
