Tahira Sharmeen Payne serves as the Senior Vice President of Development Operations at Karyopharm Therapeutics Inc. since March 2023, overseeing Clinical Operations, Data Management, and Medical Writing. Prior to this role, Tahira held various leadership positions at AbbVie from January 2014 to March 2023, including Vice President of Clinical Development Operations for Aesthetics and Eye Care, where responsibilities included leading clinical operations and delivering complex organizational transformations. Additional roles included oversight of Central Development Services and management of a large team across the Americas. Tahira began their career with positions at Genzyme, Biogen Idec, Wyeth Research, and Massachusetts General Hospital, accumulating extensive experience in clinical research and operations. Tahira holds a Master's degree in Clinical Investigations from the MGH Institute of Health Professions and has an education background from Tufts University.
