Dave Byrd-Stadler has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Dave started their career as a Customs Broker at Expeditors International of Washington in 1997, where they coordinated and cleared international shipments through U.S. Customs and resolved accounting issues. Dave then moved on to Allen Press, Inc as an Association Manager/Team Supervisor in 1999 and later became a Division Director at the same company in 2003.

In 2004, Dave joined Expeditors International of Washington again, this time as a Brokerage Manager. In this role, they oversaw a department, provided account management services, assisted in sales and negotiations, and handled new customer transitions. Dave passed the United States Customs Brokerage License Test during this period. Dave worked at Expeditors International until 2006.

From 2006 to 2013, Dave worked at the University of Kansas-School of Business as an Employer Relations Coordinator. In 2013, they were promoted to the role of Director of Employer Relations & MBA Career Services. During their tenure, Dave successfully increased the number of executive education opportunities and facilitated industry-sponsored research. Dave also developed marketing tools to promote the School of Business programs.

Dave continued their career at the University of Kansas-School of Business as the Director of Corporate & Community Engagement from 2014 to 2018. In this role, they managed strategic partner companies and collaborated with other university units to maximize offerings to corporate partners. Dave left this position in November 2018 to join KU Endowment as the Director of Corporate & Foundation Development. Dave'sresponsibilities include cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding gifts to support the University of Kansas and strengthening relationships with regional and national companies and foundations.

Dave Byrd-Stadler received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from The University of Kansas in 1997. Following that, they pursued further education and obtained an MBA from the University of Kansas - Graduate School of Business between 2001 and 2004.
