Kimberly Brothers has a long and varied work experience. Kimberly began their career in 2000 as a Quality Assurance Specialist for Ben & Jerry's. In 2002, they took on the role of ScienceCorps Graduate Teaching Fellow for the National Science Foundation (NSF) GK-12 Fellowship at the University of Southern Maine. In 2004, they became a Research Technician at Dartmouth College. From 2007-2012, they worked as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the University of Maine. During this time, they also worked as a Postdoctoral Associate and Research Instructor at the University of Pittsburgh. In 2018, they became a Staff Scientist at the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen). In 2020, they were promoted to Research Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh. Most recently, in 2022, they accepted a role as Senior Scientist at KaliVir Immunotherapeutics. In addition to their professional roles, Kimberly has also served as a Peer Reviewer for the Journal Referee since 2012.
Kimberly Brothers received their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biomedical Sciences, General from the University of Maine in 2012. Kimberly obtained their Master's Degree in Applied Immunology and Molecular Biology from the University of Southern Maine in 2004. Kimberly completed their Bachelor's Degree in Biology/Pre-med from Messiah University in 2002.
