Alyssa Stewart is the Chief Community Impact Officer at Kalamazoo Community Foundation, a position held since March 2024. Previously, Alyssa served as Chief Impact Officer at United Way of South Central Michigan from April 2022 to March 2024, where leadership involved a team of 27 professionals focused on grantmaking and direct service programming, emphasizing equity and diversity. From November 2013 to April 2022, Alyssa was the Vice President of Impact & Engagement at United Way of the Battle Creek and Kalamazoo Region, managing a portfolio exceeding $6 million and developing strategic plans centered on equity. Alyssa's career also includes roles such as Operations Manager for the Michigan Works! PATH Program and Program Director at Lake Michigan College. Alyssa holds an MPA in Non-Profit Leadership from Western Michigan University and a BA in Political Science/Public Policy from Albion College.
