Praveenya Kumar has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Praveenya started as the first employee at KaiOS Technologies, Inc. in 2017, where they held the position of Technical Account Manager & India Lead (Director). In this role, they led the technical team in creating the Kai Operating System and supported Reliance Jio in the development of the "Jio Phone - India Ka Smartphone." Praveenya also handled various responsibilities such as sales target management, team recruitment, office setup, and company registration.

Prior to KaiOS, Praveenya co-founded and served as the CTO of EVBay India Pvt Ltd in 2016. Praveenya also worked as an Independent Consultant at Creative Insights and played a key role in developing a low-cost "Connected Car" software solution based on OBD2-BT device as the Co-Founder of Samplersoft Solutions Pvt Ltd.

Praveenya has a strong technical background, having worked at Intel Corporation as a Platform Architect and Senior Software Engineer from 2013 to 2016. Praveenya also gained valuable experience at ST-Ericsson, where they served as a Senior Tech Lead and Specialist Power Management and as a Senior Application Engineer. During their time at ST-Ericsson, they contributed to the development of the first India-based smartphone and tablet. Praveenya also provided support in modem integration, certification, field-trials, and software architecture design for smartphones.

In addition, Praveenya worked at NXP Semiconductors as a Senior Application Engineer and R&D engineer. Praveenya played a crucial role in integrating sensors into NXP platforms and improving customer products through analysis and suggestions. Praveenya also assisted Samsung India in ramping up the production of 2G and low-cost 3G phones by providing technical support and innovation.

Praveenya's career began at Robert Bosch as a Senior Software Engineer and at GE Fanuc as a Project Engineer.

Praveenya Kumar obtained a B.Tech degree in Computer Science & Information Technology from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University between 2000 and 2004.
