Dr. Sussman is Founder and Chairman of The Villages Health, on Board of Trustees of the Yale New Haven Health System, and on the Board of Directors of Universal Health Services.
Previously, Dr. Sussman served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN). He was a Professor of Medicine at the University of South Florida, Associate Dean of Biological Sciences Division and Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago, and Associate Professor of Medicine and Executive Director of Clinical Practices at the University of Pennsylvania. He was also Chair of the Board of Directors of the American Association of Medical Colleges and Chair of the Council of Teaching Hospitals.
Dr. Susssman completed an internal medicine residency and a fellowship in general medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He holds medical degree is from Harvard University, an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He has been awarded four honorary doctorates.
