JSP is a non-profit, multidisciplinary team committed to assisting legal system and community partners with transforming their systems. We help our partners reimagine their work by combining rigorous research, technical assistance, and knowledge of evidence-informed strategies. We infuse creativity, innovation, and passion into our work, taking an integrated approach to system transformation to help our partners operationalize meaningful change. To achieve this mission, we work to:

    •	Educate criminal legal systems regarding the efficacy of evidence-based 
        systems, data-based decisions and 
        practices,
    •	Implement evidence-based strategies and systems that reduce 
        over-reliance on incarceration,
    •	Assist agencies and jurisdictions who use incarceration to 
        develop and implement programs that provide 
        system-involved individuals with the skills needed to reduce their 
        risk of recidivism,
    •	Further the improvement of the administration of criminal legal services 
        by serving as a resource to public and 
        private sector agencies on policy and program design, 
        implementation, training, research and evaluation, 
        and
    •	Promote and advocate rational public policy and practical 
        strategies for criminal and social justice issues.
