Shanel Bhagwandin, DO, currently serves as the Vice Chief of Surgery and Surgical Oncologist at Jupiter Medical Center, where expertise is applied in diagnosing and treating complex malignancies of the liver, pancreas, biliary tract, gastric and esophageal cancer, colon and rectal cancer, sarcoma, and melanoma. Prior to this role, Shanel Bhagwandin was the Medical Director of the Gastrointestinal Surgical Oncology Program at Mount Sinai Health System and contributed as an Assistant Professor and Medical Director for Surgical Oncology Network Development, enhancing access to advanced cancer treatments and clinical trials. Shanel Bhagwandin completed a Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and has additional training as a Surgical Oncology Fellow. Medical education includes a Master of Public Health and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, alongside a Bachelor of Science degree.
