Kevin Bowers serves as the Chief Science Officer and Head of Research and Development at Jump Trading LLC since 2010, focusing on the development of algorithms and hardware for low latency trading and optimization of quantitative trading strategies. Previously, Kevin held various positions at notable institutions, including Guest Scientist at Los Alamos National Lab, where significant contributions were made to petaflop scale supercomputing technologies, and as a Scientist at D.E. Shaw Research LLC, playing a key role in the architectural design of massively parallel molecular dynamics simulations. Kevin's early career included technical roles at Lucent Bell Labs and Intel Corporation, along with research on multilingual handwritten document analysis at Los Alamos. Kevin holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.
