Paula Alonso has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Paula started their career as a Trainee and Junior Associate at Bär & Karrer in 2004 and later worked as a Lawyer at the same firm in 2006. In 2007, they joined Citi as a Secondee in the Legal Department for a brief period. From 2007 to 2009, they worked as an Attorney at Law, Associate at Bär & Karrer. In 2009, they joined Julius Baer as an Executive Director and Head Legal Front Asia.

Paula Alonso obtained their Licentiate degree (Master of Law) in Law from Université de Fribourg/Universität Freiburg, studying from 1999 until 2004. In 2007, they achieved Admission to the Bar, becoming an Attorney at Law.
